We are happy to assist inventors and small companies with their search needs
Our searches at InvestigatePatents are conducted by experts in the field of patent
investigation. We have many years of excperience conducting searches for major
companies in technologies such as pharmaceutical, medical devices, cosmetics and personal care formulations, detergents, polymers, paper products, energy formulations, methods of doing business, designs, etc. We take pride in meeting your search needs in the chemical and most mechanical technologies.
Most importantly, you will have direct contact with your search professional. We will make every effort to work within any budget requirements that you or your client may have. You will also find our comprehensive searches to include specialty databases when needed or desired. This can include databases utilizing CAS registry codes and so-called UNITERM compound or process codes. Numerous specialty and technical databases include Chemical Abstracts, Food Science and Technology, Medline, Embase, World Patent Index, Agricola, Science Citation Index, Beilstein, Marpat, Pharmaprojects, International Pharmaceutical Abstracts, etc. Our extensive experience, conducting thousands of searches over many years, has enabled us to understand the strengths and weaknesses of many commercial databases. We can best recommend databases that may be most beneficial for your needs.
Our knowledge of the rules of classification of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, together with consultations with examiners in various technical specialties, will enable us to provide meaningful and efficient patent searches in the most relevant areas of U.S. and International Patent Classifications. This is particularly true when utilizing CAS registry numbers and/or UNITERM codings for chemical searches. The understanding of classification rules is most important for design and mechanical searches, and in many technologies, for which technical and specialty databases are frequently unavailable or not practical for use by a searcher.
